THESE Londoners have had it rough recently. Their rehearsal room was
scorched to dust in early 2008, and drummer Alex McKenzie was knocked
off his bike by a car and then walloped in quick succession by another
almost a year to the day later.
Don't be fooled into thinking Official Secrets Act have a dark cloud
loitering around every corner, though.
They've just released a d+but album in Understanding Electricity that
has gained favourable nods from all corners of the press, they've
toured with The Rakes, and have a busy schedule over the next few
months which takes them to shows all across Europe. The'll be reet.
As listenable as Bloodsport is, it's an odd choice of single, capturing
the band at their most morose, and hardly the stuff of excitable
sing-a-longs or indie disco fare.
